Susan Hartigan, president of Western Sydney Institute of TAFE, New South Wales, Australia, together with Ms. Mui Cook, director of International Department, paid a visit to our college on Mar. 13. Our President, Li Taiwu, Deputy Secretary of CPC Committee, Cheng Zhouqun, Vice President, Pan Jusu welcomed them sincerely. The responsible officers from Accounting and Finance School, Information School, Tourism School and Office of Foreign Affairs attended the reception.
The main target of Ms. Susan here was to sign the after-high middle school project contract of accounting, computer application and technology and hotel management. Western Sydney Institute of TAFE and our college co-established the Ningbo Institute of TAFE and recruited the first group of students last year. This Sino-Australian project has made a great success through the effort of both sides. Our two colleges began discussing this project since September, 2011 and got an agreement on the talents cultivation plan, teaching staff employment and selection of teaching material.
The two parties discussed the training program for the teachers in the reception. We are going to send teachers of specialties to accept trainings in Australia this summer to study the advanced teaching concept, teaching modes and evaluation system of Australia, thus lay a solid foundation of our cooperation.
Ms. Susan paid a visit to The University of Nottingham Ningbo China, accompanied by our staff from Office of Foreign Affairs on Mar. 14.
