Albert, director of International Department of Vancouver Premier College of Hotel Management, Canada, paid a visit to our college on Mar. 7. Our Vice president warmly welcomed the guest, the responsible officers of foreign affairs and Tourism School attended the reception.
Our college established a friendly cooperation relationship with Vancouver Premier College of Hotel Management in 2010 and signed the 8+8 overseas internship project agreement of hotel management specialty in Dem. Last year. The main aim of director Albert’s coming is to further discussing the carry-out and promotion procedure of this project. According to the rules of the project our students majoring in hotel management could select eight-month course of hotel operation of Vancouver Premier College of Hotel Management in the third year after they finish the first two-year study at our college. The students could get certificate both from our college and Vancouver Premier College of Hotel Management.
The two parties talked about the operation details of the project at the reception and discussed the short-term training for the teachers and the establishment of overseas base. Director Albert introduced their cooperative university Trinity Western University, Canada, as our new partner and suggested that we could take the financial specialty as the first cooperative aim.
Director Albert introduced the 8+8 overseas internship project to the students from the hotel management specialty of Tourism School. He told the students the development and employment foreground of Canadian tourism and hotel industry, and emphasized on the courses, requirements, and tuition and scholarship details. After the meeting, the students asked questions actively to show their interests and intention of going abroad for a study and internship.
